This position is located in the Railroad Retirement Board's Bureau of Information Services. The incumbent will be responsible for overseeing data governance, database administration, data quality and security, AI governance and implementation, and database infrastructure. This job announcement may be used to fill one or more vacancies. This is a bargaining unit position. This position is represented by the Council of AFGE Locals in the Board.
What You'll Do
- →As an IT Specialist (Data Manager), you will: Develop, implement, and maintain data management policies, standards, and security procedures to comply with Federal mandates.
- →Advise and support leadership in developing and executing the agency's AI strategy, policies, and compliance posture.
- →Design and maintain large relational databases and data warehouses, optimizing performance and functionality.
- →Ensure data quality, accuracy, and security throughout the data lifecycle.
- →Protect data from unauthorized access while ensuring accuracy and reliability for authorized users.
- →Analyze agency data and generate reports that provide actionable insights to support leadership decision-making.
