About the Position: The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is transitioning to the Department of War Education Activity (DoWEA) This position is located at HQ, Financial & Business OPS Dir, Data and AI Division in Alexandria, Virginia. The position may be eligible for situational telework as determined by the agency policy. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Drafts data governance documents, including policies, standards, procedures, and guidance, and develops and recommends enterprise data standards.
- →Works with data stewards across divisions to apply governance standards, resolve data definition and quality issues, and support stewardship accountability.
- →Maintains the enterprise data dictionary and business metadata catalog, ensuring that the meaning, lineage, and ownership of agency data are accurately documented.
- →Supports the development and application of enterprise data quality requirements and the data classification framework, including sensitivity labeling and data-handling guidance, and assists in monitoring conformance with governance standards.
- →Manages the agency's official student records, including the processing and certification of student transcripts and the issuance of student diplomas, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and proper release.
- →Identifies data literacy and enablement needs within the data governance domain and supports efforts to address them.
