About the Position: This position is located in San Antonio, Texas with the Defense Health Agency. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Salary negotiation may be available for those new to Federal service.
What You'll Do
- →Administers the day-to-day database operation and maintenance in a complex client server.
- →Ensures the database efficiently collects, stores, and processes large volumes of data.
- →Develops and maintains security procedures to guard against unauthorized intrusions.
- →Prepares technical papers, plans, studies, and other written materials as required.
- →Serves as a technical expert performing feasibility studies which involved application of emerging technology to resolve unique user requirements.
- →Coordinates and reviews customer requirements.
- →Analyzes project synopsis to compare alternatives in terms of cost, time, and required equipment and staff.
- →Performs physical database design for Structured Query Language (SQL) databases.
- →Provides high-level technical expertise to accomplish analysis of options and development of the design for advanced database systems software and complex programming specifications.
- →Provides consultation and instruction to functional area users and the application programming community.
