This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Center for Medicaid and CHIP Services, Data and Systems Group (DSG), Division of Information Systems (DIS). As an IT SPECIALIST (DATA MANAGEMENT), GS-2210-14, you will serve as a technical authority and advisor for the development of analytics products using Medicaid and CHIP datasets to support internal and external data product users.
What You'll Do
- →Leading the development of sophicticated data management technologies to perfor analyses and reporting capabilities in support of Medicaid and CHIP programs.
- →Serving as the technical authority for data analytics products, providing expert guidance on data management technologies, product strategy, and secure system design.
- →Leading cross-functional teams in developing data products using cloud technologies, APIs, open-source tools, and modern software development practices.
- →Planning, managing, and evaluating research and analytical projects involving Medicaid and CHIP data to support policy development, program oversight, and operational decision-making.
- →Providing technical leadership on IT security, data governance, access controls, and system lifecycle activities to ensure compliance with CMS security requirements.
- →Directing complex projects by establishing product roadmaps, managing risks, coordinating stakeholders, and presenting findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
- →Representing CMS in meetings with Federal agencies, states, contractors, researchers, and other organizations to advance data management initiatives and resolve complex technical issues.
