THIS IS A TITLE 32 DUAL STATUS POSITION DUTY LOCATION: 103d Communications Flight (CF), East Granby, CT AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1: All currently employed full-time permanent and indefinite personnel, assigned to the Communication Flight of the CTANG. Area 2: All currently employed full-time temporary technician personnel and all current traditional members, assigned to the Communication Flight the CTANG.
What You'll Do
- →NATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED.
- →This is an excepted position that requires membership in a compatible military assignment in the Connecticut Air National Guard.
- →The major duties include, but are not limited to: Manages the assigned IT/communications environment with privileged access at the network level for the Wing, Geographically Separated Units (GSU), and Tenants.
- →Serves as a focal point for ensuring functionality and operability of the assigned IT/data systems/functions, voice and wireless systems to support mission requirements of Wing, Geographically Separated Units (GSU), and Tenants.
- →Provides customer technical assistance and support for all users.
- →Determines customer requirements and assists customers by recognizing and analyzing trends and providing instruction and orientation services.
- →Conducts feasibility studies to identify and analyze system failures and analyzes data to determine if trends exist which forecast the need for future replacement or modification of system hardware and software.
Requirements
- ✓SUBSTITUTION OF EDUCATION FOR SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: At the GS-9 level, a masters or equivalent graduate degree or 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree may be substituted.
- ✓At the GS-11 level, a Ph.D. or equivalent, or 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree.
- ✓(Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks).
- ✓FOREIGN EDUCATION: Education completed in foreign colleges or universities may be used to meet the requirements.
- ✓You must show proof the education credentials have been deemed to be at least equivalent to that gained in conventional U.S. education program.
- ✓It is your responsibility to provide such evidence when applying.
- ✓You must provide transcripts or other documentation to support your educational claims.
- ✓To receive credit for education, you must provide documentation of proof that you meet the education requirements for this position.
