What You'll Do
- →Provides technical support in the preparation, creation, testing, implementation, evaluation, and ongoing support of business applications and technology solutions that meet agency objectives.
- →Contributes to the design and deployment of innovative technology strategies to meet Agency needs and advance goals.
- →Assisting with the building, running, and operation of applications and framework environments using contemporary methods and tools.
- →Assist senior developers in testing and monitoring applications and supports best practices for testing and quality assurance.
- →Works closely with developers, business analysts, and multidisciplinary teams to assist in the implementation of new functionalities and creative solutions, and to convert business needs into technical frameworks.
- →Provides support to developers who, in turn, assist senior developers collaborating with other technical authorities within the Agency and with individuals from other Federal organizations or private industry.
- →Applies analytical techniques to a variety of assignments, including providing input during the assessment process of proposed IT investments to ensure alignment and support of the Agency’s strategic plan.

- ✓For GS-7: Successful completion of at least one academic year of graduate education in a field that is directly related to the position or superior academic achievement.
- ✓For GS-9: Master's or equivalent graduate degree, or successful completion of at least two academic years of progressively higher graduate education in a field that is directly related to the position, or LL.B. or J.D. in a field that is directly related to the position.
- ✓For GS-11: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree, or LL.M. in a field that is directly related to the position.
- ✓Combining Education and Experience: Experience and education as described above may be combined to meet the minimum qualification requirements.
- ✓Experience and education will be computed as percentages of the overall requirements and must equal to 100 percent when combined.
- ✓Only education in excess of the first 60 semester hours or 90 quarter hours beyond the second year leading to a bachelor's degree is creditable toward meeting the specialized experience requirement.
- ✓One full academic year of undergraduate study (30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours) beyond the second year is equivalent to 6 months of specialized experience.
- ✓Only graduate education in excess of the amount required for the next lower grade level may be used to qualify applicants for positions at grades GS-9 and GS-11.
- ✓Note: One year of full-time graduate education is considered to be the number of credit hours that the school you attended has determined to represent one year of study.
