This position is located in the Department of Health & Human Services (HHS), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), Office of Information Technology,(OIT), Enterprise Systems Solutions Group (ESSG). As a IT SPECIALIST (AI), GS-2210-14, you will serve as a technical lead that uses Artificial Intelligence (AI) to deliver business outcomes from ideation through deployments and serve as a technical expert in the design and development of systems.
What You'll Do
- →Lead in technical problem solving and AI, as it applies to internal and external challenges at CMS, this incumbent performs complex, sensitive, high-level technical work, including AI governance.
- →Serve as an agency subject matter expert in AI technologies.
- →Contributes to formulation of Information Technology (IT) policies, procedures, and technical guidance necessary for the implementation of agency AI systems.
- →Serve as the technical advisor to the leadership team across the agency and provides consulting support to various components of CMS looking to leverage work under the AI umbrella.
- →Apply AI design expertise to advise and consult with partner agencies on modern AI product, platform, and/or service design methodologies, tools, techniques, and ways of thinking.
- →Monitor complex technical, proof of concept, prototype, pilot, and operational aspects of programs and projects using technology, including AI.
