What You'll Do
- →Serves within Defense Logistics Agency (DLA), Information Operations J62 Program Executive Office (PEO), J62X System Applications and Products (SAP) Platform, specifically in Warehouse Management System (WMS) Portfolio (J62XD).
- →Serves as the Equipment Control Systems (ECS), SAP Material Flow Systems (MFS) and all automation IT Project Manager for WMS Portfolio delivering and sustaining WMS (Extended Warehouse Management (EWM)... ...
- →Transportation Management (TM), ERP Central Component (ECC), S/4HANA, Fiori, etc) across the DLA Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs) (Distribution, Disposition Services, etc).
- →Provides project management oversight for the integration and deployment of Enterprise business capabilities utilizing Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) and Government Off-The-Shelf (GOTS) packages... ... such as WMS, ECS, Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC), MFS, and physical warehouse automation solutions.
- →Oversees control configurations for conveyor systems, Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (AS/RS), scanners, and sensors to coordinate real-time physical movements of handling units (HUs).
- →Leads the integration and deployment of SAP AutoStore within SAP Extended Warehouse Management (EWM).
- →Manages projects to implement cube-based automated storage system, coordinating the alignment of robotic physical movements, grid configurations... ...., and workstation (port) interfaces to support high-efficiency "goods-to-person" picking and replenishment.
- →Leads and manages the development and execution of comprehensive IT project plans, integrated schedules, risk mitigations, and knowledge transfer artifacts for all automation and hardware-integration initiatives.
- →Maintains critical communications and situational awareness of automation project scopes, resource requirements, and milestone statuses with all stakeholders, including team members, senior leadership, and DLA customer networks.
- →Facilitates direct collaboration between DLA warehouse operators, technical subject matter experts, and hardware vendors to align physical automation requirements with core software capabilities.
- →Monitors, tracks, and manages project milestones and system integration defects utilizing the Strategic Portfolio Management (SPM) tool.
- →Evaluates project progress, system effectiveness, and delivery quality, developing targeted tools and methods to track automation life-cycle milestones.
- →Coordinates the integration of automation workflows with inbound, outbound, and internal logistics processes across DLA Distribution, Disposition Services, and military services within SAP S/4, ECC, EWM, TM, and Fiori.
- →Represents the agency at meetings and conferences involving senior level personnel throughout Department of War (DoW), other government agencies and private industry.
