About the Position: This position is located in the Defense Health Agency (DHA) under the policy guidance and direction of the Assistant Secretary of Defense for Health Affairs located in San Antonio, Texas. TIn this position, you will be the single point of responsibility for ensuring technology projects are completed successfully, on time, and within budget to support the organization's healthcare mission. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation.
What You'll Do
- →Leads small and medium-sized information technology projects from initial concept through deployment and final closeout.
- →Formulates comprehensive project plans that define baseline schedules, resource allocations, and potential risk mitigation strategies.
- →Monitors project performance metrics and milestones to ensure deliverables align with organizational standards and timelines.
- →Executes corrective actions such as reassigning staff, compressing timelines, or adjusting project scopes to resolve schedule or budget variances.
- →Manages IT contractor performance and deliverables to guarantee compliance with established statement of work (SOW) requirements.
- →Communicates project status, technical challenges, and proposed solutions to senior leadership and diverse project stakeholders.
- →Collaborates with cross-functional technical teams to integrate new technology systems into the existing organizational infrastructure.
