This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the FULL PERFORMANCE Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - FE/Endpoint Services/Customer Support Directorate.
What You'll Do
- →Principal IT Specialist responsible for performing needs analysis, consulting with customers to identify and specify requirements and specifications, for purchasing and contracts for IT services, equipment, products, supplies, and property.
- →Provides advice to the other Engineering and Architecture Branch personnel, other J63H4 personnel, and agency wide PFPA personnel in matters relating to information management issues in the design, integration, and implementation of security systems.
- →Applies project management principles, methods, or tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources, including monitoring and inspecting costs, work, and contractor performance.
- →Analyzes, evaluates, and recommends hardware/software changes to various computer systems.
- →Consults on all aspects of IT programs including: monitoring of technical support and service provided on hardware and software, cable-plant, implementations of national standards, planning, coordinating, modifying, implementing, and troubleshooting.

- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
