This vacancy is for a GS - 2210 - 11, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSADMIN) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, C5ISC COMMAND CONTROL and NAVIGATION PRODUCT LINE in Elizabeth City, NC .
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (SYSADMIN) and be responsible for managing information technology projects.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Conducting functional and connectivity testing to ensure continuing operability.
- →Maintaining baseline system security according to organizational policies.
- →Monitoring and maintaining system/server configuration.
- →Exercising independent judgment and discretion when assisting with IT cyber contract negotiations and investments.
- →Performing studies that may result in changes of organizational structures or staffing levels requiring labor relation matters.
- →Troubleshooting hardware/software interface and interoperability problems.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
- →Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
