You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist in the Information Systems Division of NAVAL FACILITIES ENGINEERING AND EXPEDITIONARY WARFARE CENTER. This position is part of the Naval Facilities Engineering and Expeditionary Warfare Center (EXWC) Personnel Demonstration Project. The NT-03 pay band encompasses positions equivalent to GS-12 through GS-14. The position has a control point equivalent to the GS-13 Step 10 grade.
What You'll Do
- →You will support an Information Systems Security Manager (ISSM) in overseeing the cybersecurity posture and lifecycle compliance of critical mission systems.
- →You will engage with program managers and system owners to ensure cybersecurity requirements are integrated into the system development lifecycle.
- →You will conduct highly complex cybersecurity investigations and audits of suspected espionage and unintentional data spillages.
- →You will direct and execute cyber incident response, ensuring that support is provided in a manner that minimizes interruptions to customers' critical mission activities.
- →You will research, evaluate, and provide feedback on problematic trends and patterns in cybersecurity requirements to inform strategic planning and resource allocation.
