This vacancy is for a GS-2210-13, IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) located in the Department of Homeland Security, U.S. Coast Guard, OPERATING LOCATION-C5ISC MAJOR ACQUISITION INTEGRATION SECTION-DC in WASHINGTON, District of Columbia.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as an IT Cybersecurity Specialist (PLCYPLN-INFOSEC) and be responsible for reviewing and auditing Command, Control, Communication, Computer, Cyber and Intelligence (C5I) programs and projects.
- →Being a Coast Guard civilian makes you a valuable member of the Coast Guard team.
- →Typical work assignments include: Analyzing design constraints, analyze trade-offs and detailed system and security design, and considering life cycle support for aviation, shipboard, cloud based, and command, control, and communication systems.
- →Implementing and integrating system development life cycle (SDLC) methodologies (e.g., IBM Rational Unified Process) into development environment to optimize system for operations and sustainment.
- →Working with other service managers and product owners to balance and prioritize services to meet overall customer requirements, constraints, and objectives.
- →Acting as a primary stakeholder in the underlying IT operational processes and functions that support the service, providing direction and monitoring all significant activities so the service is delivered successfully.
- →Mandatory training is required which must be successfully completed and other training may occur as necessary for success in the position.
- →Federal Acquisition Certification for Program and Project Managers Level I (FAC P/PM-I) or management determined equivalent within two years of entry into the position.
