About the Role
This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the PROFESSIONAL Work Category at the FULL PERFORMANCE Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA - HC/Mainframe LOB.
What You'll Do
- →Plans, coordinates and executes the installation, configuration, upgrade, and maintenance of operating environments: including compilers, utilities, communication and systems management products, third-party systems, security packages, and software.
- →Develops and implements systems diagnostic and maintenance tools to ensure the availability and functionality of systems required to support organizational objectives.
- →Consults with applications developers to determine the effect on end user applications resulting from changes to the operating environment; e.g., new software or hardware installations.
- →Conducts risk and vulnerability assessments of planned and installed information systems to identify vulnerabilities, risks, and protection needs Interprets and evaluates performance data and isolates potential sources of performance problems
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
