This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command. It is in the Professional Work Category at the Full Performance Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the DISA-CYBRSEC DIV/CYBERSEC ORPS BR.
What You'll Do
- →Oversees the cybersecurity program of an information system or network; including managing information security implications within the organization or other areas of responsibility.
- →Develops policies and procedures to ensure information systems reliability and accessibility and to prevent and defend against unauthorized access to systems, networks, and data.
- →Develops and implements programs to ensure that systems, network, and data users are aware of, understand, and adhere to systems security policies and procedures.
- →Facilitates the gathering, analysis, and preservation of evidence used in the prosecution of computer crimes.
- →Ensures the rigorous application of information security/information assurance policies, principles, and practices in the delivery of all IT services.
- →Configuration of Tenable.SC and Nessus Manager/Agent communication Skills aligned with the Best Practice Guide.
Requirements
- ✓There is no substitution of education for the qualifying experience at the GG-12 grade level.
