About the Role
The Interior Designer position serves in the Projects section of the Engineering department for the Central Virginia VA Health Care System (CVHCS) located in Richmond, VA. Selectee will performs all major duties to support and maintain in the Interior Design Program for the Central Virginia Health Care System (CVHCS) to include all satellite and leased spaces.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Duties may include, but are not limited to the following: Provides complete from concept to installation interior design services to include all satellite and other leased space.
- →Provides plans, consultations, advice, specifications and designs for virtually all spaces involved in new construction, and/or renovation.
- →Develops and maintains a schedule of short and long interior improvement projects for the health care system through 5-year Interior Design Plan and other programs to identify existing future project needs.
- →Originates orders for furnishings, windows treatments, patient cubicle curtains, floor coverings, wall art, ambient lighting and all other interior design related accoutrements.
- →Maintains interior/exterior signage and directional graphics to comply with "Signage Standard Manual", Coordinate's the installation of new and ensures the efficacy of signage/ directional graphics meet the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations ( JCAHO) and the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and effectively informs/ directs Patients, visitors and staff.
