About the Role
This position is responsible for the planning and implementation of a complete Interior Design program for the Engineering Service, Veterans Administration Medical Center Lexington, Kentucky.
What You'll Do
- →***THIS IS NOT A VIRTUAL POSITION, YOU MUST LIVE WITHIN OR BE WILLING TO RELOCATE WITHIN A COMMUTABLE DISTANCE OF THE DUTY LOCATION*** Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Influences design of new construction from conception through activation.
- →Develops and maintains a comprehensive resource library of interior design literature.
- →Maintains good working relationships with numerous commercial vendors.
- →Prepares equipment and furniture listing for all assigned major renovation new construction projects and facility management.
- →Determines appropriate signage locations, prioritizes signage requests, coordinates all phases of signage demands and ensures appropriate signage for renovations and/or relocations.
- →Administers service contracts for interior design projects and provide design consultation.
- →Develop and maintains a complete interior system for the Medical Center.
- →Serves as a Contracting Officers Technical Representative (COTR).
- →Responsible for budgeting projects utilizing yearly recurring budget funds and non-recurring project funds.
- →Develops and directs planning and scheduling of short and long-range interior improvement projects.
- →Performs other duties as assigned.
