About the Position: This position is the Deputy Chief of Operations Division and the Senior navigation and recreation expert for the Mississippi Valley Division. Independently responsible for providing and implementing policy guidance consulting assistance and staff coordination. The duty location will be determined upon selection and can be at any of the 4 Districts listed above within MVD. Not eligible for full time telework.
What You'll Do
- →Reviews and devises strategies to adapt national programs to the Mississippi Valley Division.
- →Evaluates and develops policy and implementation proposals for Navigation and recreation programs.
- →Coordinator for HQUSACE for testing, reviewing, and devising strategies to adapt national programs to the region.
- →Oversees inspections of installations for environmental compliance with existing laws and policies.
- →Makes recommendation for additional measures or corrective actions where appropriate.
- →Makes decisions, interpretations, and recommendations which may significantly change or expand implementation of navigation, recreation and dredging.
- →Participates with headquarters in evaluation activities, field analysis, development and implementation of the official USACE positions on implementation of various USACE proposals.
