You will serve as an INTERDISCIPLINARY PHYSICAL SCIENTIST/ OCEANOGRAPHER/ GEOPHYSICIST in the Ocean Products Division (N91), Ocean Projects Department (N9), Naval Oceanographic Office (NAVOCEANO) of NAVOCEANO BAY ST LOUIS. This is a RE-ADVERTISEMENT of Announcement Number: ST-12955211-26-KSW. Applicants that have previously applied NEED to re-apply to this announcement.
What You'll Do
- →You will have knowledge of instructions, policies, and procedures governing the management and operation of oceanographic survey vessels and ships of opportunity.
- →You will have the capability to clearly and concisely communicate relevant technical information, both orally and in writing.
- →You will perform as a forward deployed leader on various platforms leading teams of scientists, engineers, technicians during field operations.
- →You will interface with major U.S.
- →Department of Defense staffs, Department of State, U.S.
- →Coast Guard, Embassies and Defense Attaches, foreign governments, and various sponsor related agencies.
- →You will obtain approval for survey operations, promoting cooperation, and exchanging information and ideas among these organizations.
- →You will assure that remedial actions are taken and monitors such actions until correction of the casualty is achieved.
- →You will perform other duties as assigned.
