You will serve as a ASSESSMENTS PROGRAM MANAGER in the ENVIRONMENTAL DIVISION of COMNAVREG SE JAX.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide a full range of professional environmental services for protecting or improving air, land, water and other natural and cultural resources to all Navy and marine Corps activities within the NAVFAC Area of Responsibility (AOR).
- →You will plan team audits on both a short and long range basis, considering personnel availability, customer requirements and type of work effort involved.
- →You will perform engineering and scientific analysis of data to determine and track trends, and identify corrective measures for various routine and non-routine environmental deficiencies and liabilities .
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Basic Requirements for 0401 Series Successful completion of a degree in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a related discipline appropriate to this position.
- ✓OR A combination of education and experience in one of the above majors that includes at least 24 semester hours in biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or a discipline related to this position plus appropriate experience or additional education.
- ✓The quality of the combination of education and experience demonstrates that I possess the knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform the work of the position and is comparable to that normally acquired through the completion of a full four year course of study with a major as described above.
- ✓Basic Requirements for 0819 Series Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓Basic Requirements for 1301 Series Successful completion of a bachelor's degree or higher in physical science, engineering, or mathematics that included 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science such as mechanics, dynamics, properties of materials, and electronics.
- ✓OR A combination of education and experience with education equivalent to one of the majors shown above that included at least 24 semester hours in physical science and/or related engineering science, plus appropriate experience or additional education.
