About the Role
You will serve as a INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER in the Combat Systems Division of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Guam is designated as a medically underserved area. Military medical facilities offer space-available primary and limited specialty medical care; however, services are not guaranteed.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical direction for engineering requirements on surface ship/submarine combat systems for all non-nuclear support work in support of modernization, maintenance, repair, or overhaul.
- →You will conduct engineering studies, investigations, research, and analysis for the solution of unusual or unprecedented engineering problems.
- →You will act as a lead/oversight troubleshooter in the identification and resolution of problems encountered during installation, grooming, or testing phases of waterfront production efforts.
- →You will prepare Technical Work Documents with tasks describing necessary technical specifications applicable to the system and work being performed.
- →You will work with various shop and code program analysts to identify, develop, and implement process improvement initiatives.
Requirements
- ✓GS-11: Applicants may substitute the following education for the required experience, provided it demonstrates the knowledge, skills and abilities necessary to do the work of the position: 3 years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree.
