This is a public notice flyer to notify interested applicants of anticipated vacancies. Applications will not be accepted through this flyer. What You'll Do
- →You will provide engineering and program management regarding physical properties associated with the future Strategic system and subsystems.
- →You will address technical issues in the engineering, test, and deployment phases of the system.
- →You will coordinate and establishing the scope, time, schedule and associated planning of the programs listed above.
- →Recommending corrective action when necessary to meet requirements.
- →You will participate in problem investigations involving integration of missile subsystems and includes evaluating changes in the interfaces with the submarine combat control room.
- →You will evaluate system engineering, requirements management techniques, and engineering risks for strategic weapons.
- →You will participate in budgetary submissions in accordance with SSP direction and procedures.
- →You will analyze and evaluate technical and programmatic issues with the SSP field offices and other government field activities regarding their day-to-day interaction with contractors, subcontractors, and government activities.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
