You will serve as an Avionics Engineer in the Avionics Engineering Department of NAVAIRWARCENAC DIV.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide authoritative input and advice on all engineering and technical issues to ensure aviation system engineering requirements are met.
- →You will develop project-planning objectives for engineering development and integration of current and future capabilities for datalink and radio systems .
- →You will perform and direct technical analyses across the entire lifecycle of avionics systems.
- →You will assist in the preparation, planning, and development of integrated logistics support plans for assigned avionics systems.
- →You will collaborate with Department of War enterprise stakeholders, Naval Warfare Centers, and intelligence agencies on joint planning, prototyping, and research.
- →You will prepare and review engineering analyses, technical reports, and system change proposals.
- →You will accomplish other duties as assigned.

- ✓To continue, applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: 0801/0850/0854/0855/0861 OCCUPATIONAL SERIES: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

- ✓OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
