About the Role

You will serve as a Facilities Planning and Project Manager in the Production Resources Department, Production Facility and Plant Equipment Management Division, Strategic Programs Division (Code 900F1) of PEARL HARBOR NSY AND IMF. Salary Ranges: Series 0808, 0810, 0830, 0896 (SSR 414H) GS-11: $86,472 - $109,867 GS-12: $95,994 - $124,031 Series 0850 (SSR 422H) GS-11: $88,599 - $111,994 GS-12: $101,092 - $129,129

What You'll Do

  • You will conduct site visits, participate in NAVFAC acquisition activities and project evaluations.
  • You will develop solutions to meet a facility/equipment need or generate the capabilities to support waterfront work.
  • You will plan, administer, coordinate, and manage a wide range of projects for both nuclear and nonnuclear facilities including repair, new construction, renovation, and demolition.
  • You will be responsible for ensuring project development, execution, and quality for projects in both nuclear and nonnuclear facilities.
  • You will review engineering designs to ensure they meet project requirements and have the necessary support prior to execution.
  • You will prepare justification documents to obtain additional funds for any change orders.

Requirements

  • Applicants must meet the following basic education requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Successful completion of a professional engineering degree.
  • Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
  • OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.

  • OR Successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
  • Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
