This position is an Interdisciplinary Senior Project Planner - Team Lead PDC3 in the Project Planning Branch, Design Division, Planning, Design & Construction Directorate of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic.
What You'll Do
- →You will provide technical support in the areas of project planning, safety site planning, project development, Anti-Deficiency Act work classification, and supporting facility planning.
- →You will serve as senior project planner for planning, design, and construction projects; i.e.
- →Military Construction, special projects for facilities, waterfront/shore structures, warehouses, power plants, hazardous waste and fire protection systems.
- →You will investigate existing problem areas in order to forecast future project facilities planning.
- →You will review plans and designs to ensure they conform within Navy and DoD guidance and A/E contracts.
- →You will prepare statements of work and government estimates.
- →You will provide maintenance of weapon systems, hardware, equipment, software, installation infrastructure, or any combination thereof, including depot-level maintenance, and repair.
Requirements
- ✓FOR THE 0801 ENGINEERING SERIES:Professional engineering degree.
- ✓Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position.
- ✓OR Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
- ✓FE examination is not administered by the U.

- ✓OR At least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirements under paragraph A (above).
- ✓Ordinarily, there should be either an established plan of intensive training to develop professional engineering competence, or several years of prior professional engineering-type experience, e.g., in interdisciplinary positions.
- ✓(Note - In the absence of college courses, 5 years of such experience is required).
