About the Role

The U.S. Attorney for the District of Massachusetts represents the entire state and its 6.8 million residents. Of the 94 U.S. Attorneys' Offices throughout the United States and its territories, the District of Massachusetts is one of the busiest, prosecuting a broad range of cases including national security, white collar crime, public corruption, cybercrime, narcotics and money laundering, organized crime and gang violence, and civil rights violations.

What You'll Do

  • This Intelligence Research Specialist provides specialized assistance and advice to USAO management, local, state, regional and other federal entities in security administration and crises management planning.
  • If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Intelligence Research Specialist support in the U.S.
  • Attorney's Office, District of Massachusetts, located in Boston, Massachusetts, focusing in the areas of Intelligence research and security.
  • Typical work assignments will include: Responsible for obtaining, coordinating, analyzing, and disseminating information relating to the detection and identification of terrorists and terrorist acts, and complex criminal cases.
  • Analyzes, evaluates, discusses, and validates research reports, collection plans and guides focusing on suspected complex criminal activity, cyber, terrorists and terrorist activities.
  • Monitors, reviews, and analyzes intelligence traffic from multiple sources.
  • Identifies the need for further research, analysis or investigation and makes decisions concerning the consolidation and dissemination of information to various law enforcement agencies and other organizations.
  • Supports investigative operations by identifying criminal networks and individuals through open source, unclassified, and classified intelligence.
