The Chief Information Office manages FS Information Resource environments. This position is responsible for facilitating the coordination with field and Forest Service leadership for all information technology infrastructure, business applications, and information management services. What You'll Do
- →Performs needs analyses to define opportunities for new or improved business process solutions.
- →Develops plans for installing, configuring, troubleshooting IT hardware and software.
- →Continually tests hardware and software to determine effects on the efficiency of the hardware and existing software when new software packages are implemented.
- →Participates in the testing of new hardware/software in conjunction with the application developers.
- →Serves as first line technical authority for the assigned PCS and systems within the unit.
- →Defines a customer service culture to ensure that all customers are treated with respect and civility.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12/31/1959 must be Selective Service registered or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
