About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located in Pyong Taek, South Korea. This is a position with an initial overseas tour of 36 months with possible extensions for a total of 5 years.
What You'll Do
- →Provide Microsoft Active Directory organizational unit (OU) administration to add, modify, move, and remove server, user and computer objects.
- →Maintain accountability for Active Directory and other server operating system and application software licenses.
- →Perform security checklists on operating systems and perform system backups for each server.
- →Identifies, analyzes, diagnoses, and resolves operational problems involving the interrelationships of devices between end users and servers.
- →Create shared folders on a common and mission server drives to enable a group of employees to share and work on same files.
- →Provide system administration and operating system support for file, print, and common user application servers, server farms/banks on classified and unclassified networks and mission and tenant organization servers.
- →Install hardware, server operating systems, and applications according to the Army Best Business Practices (BBP); apply Army standard configurations and Security Technical Implementation Guides.
- →Document the applicable applications, services, and configurations; and scan servers with the Army Gold Disk.
