You will serve as a INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (SYSADMIN/NETWORK) in the INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT ORG: ITD of NAVAL SUBMARINE SUPPORT FACILITY.
What You'll Do
- →You will serve as the technical authority for systems administration, developing and executing long-range strategic plans for disaster recovery, enterprise backup strategies, and system modernization.
- →You will plan, integrate, and manage cloud computing environments (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) and evaluate emerging hybrid cloud migration strategies.
- →You will serve as the designated Trusted Agent, WISP, and ATIS administrator, overseeing identity and access management programs and administering user accounts across NMCI and FlankSpeed.
- →You will acct as the primary technical liaison between leadership and NMCI contractors to monitor contract performance, evaluate service level agreements (SLAs), and resolve service deficiencies.
- →You will provide the command’s highest level of technical support, serving as the final escalation point for resolving critical and unprecedented hardware, software, and network problems.
- →You will manage the command’s application portfolio within DADMS and NAVIDAS, oversee Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) reporting, and develop test plans for new hardware and software.
- →You will design network infrastructure modifications to optimize performance, resolve complex connectivity issues, and develop and execute Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs) in coordination with the ISSM.
- →You will analyze enterprise-wide ACAS vulnerability scan data to identify systemic trends, lead strategic remediation projects, and implement STIGs and security patches across all systems.
Requirements
- ✓All academic degrees and coursework must be from accredited or pre-accredited institutions.
- ✓Undergraduate or Graduate Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, information science, information systems management, mathematics, operations research, statistics, or technology management or degree that provided a minimum of 24 semester hours in one or more of the fields identified above and required the development or adaptation of applications, systems or networks.
- ✓In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience.
- ✓GS-12: There are no educational substitutions for specialized experience for GS-12.
- ✓GS-11: Successful completion of a Ph.D.
- ✓OR Successful completion of three full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree.
