About the Position: This position is with the Joint Munitions Command located at McAlester, OK and serves as the installation Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) and directly supports the Information Technology (IA) policies, procedures and responsibilities of the Army Information Assurance Program for the installation.
What You'll Do
- →Install, configure and upgrade variety of network appliances and applications such as firewalls, intrusion detection and protection systems, wireless intrusions detection system, web filtering devices, and other similar devices as necessary.
- →Provide guidance and assistance in developing policy and operational procedures to enhance the security posture of McAlester Army Ammunition Plant systems and data.
- →Enforce existing regulations and directives.
- →Perform staff assignments related to program planning, monitoring, and/or coordination of the systems life cycle function.
- →Perform analysis to determine root cause of vulnerabilities and best methodology to remediate identified vulnerabilities.
- →Collect audit and usage data and prepare reports for senior management.
Requirements

- ✓This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
- ✓Time in Grade Requirement GS-07: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
- ✓Time in Grade Requirement GS-09: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-07).
- ✓Time in Grade Requirement GS-11: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
