About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at Pyeong Taek, South Korea. This is a position with an initial overseas tour of 36 months with possible extensions for a total of 5 years.
What You'll Do
- →Serves as Information Technology Specialist (Network) with the responsibility for the Local Area Network (LAN) systems administration, database, administration, and micro-computer applications (local and 1st Signal Brigade developed).
- →Provides system administration support for the in-house LAN, micro-computers and supporting data communications architecture (hubs, gateways, routers, and bridges), and other systems and components of the LAN/WAN (Wide Area Network).
- →Works with Windows hardware consisting of such things as fiber optic networks, Ethernet networks, and other network interface units.
