About the Role

About the Position: This position is a DOD Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system position in the Excepted Service under 10 USC 1599f. Employees occupying CES positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Regional Cyber Center Europe in Wiesbaden, Germany. The initial length of this overseas tour is 36 months with possible extensions up to 5 years.

What You'll Do

  • Supports the delivery and reliability of Unified Capabilities (UC) services—including enterprise voice, video, and collaboration tools—to ensure effective communication across the organization.
  • Uses available monitoring tools and automation capabilities to track system health, maintain accurate configuration information, and support proactive service management.
  • Monitors and evaluates system performance, identifying trends, issues, and improvement areas to help maintain consistent service quality and user experience.
  • Performs ongoing security, configuration, and compliance checks on network systems, applying organizational policies and required standards to maintain a secure operational environment.
  • Leads troubleshooting and service restoration efforts for UC-related issues, coordinating with technical teams to resolve incidents efficiently and prevent future disruptions.
  • Develops and maintains operational procedures, documentation, and user guidance for UC and network services, and provides input to leadership on system enhancements and technology updates.
