What You'll Do
- →Serves as Senior Network Administrator to leadership on network enterprise systems and designs.
- →As a senior IT specialist, performs feasibility studies on complex information systems and conducts in-depth analyses complicated by novel problems.
- →Keeps abreast of emerging technology to predict future network needs.
- →Performs as a senior IT specialist, participates in leadership discussions, meetings, committees, or special projects.
Requirements
- ✓OTHER SIGNIFICANT FACTS PERTAINING TO THIS POSITION ARE: CAF AFETS specialist is subject to short notice TDY deployment and/or PCS move to meet worldwide operational/mission requirements.
- ✓This position requires the employee to sign a mobility agreement under the provisions of the agency mobility program.
- ✓This position may require frequent travel or long periods away from the normal duty station to include CONUS or overseas and may include remote or isolated sites.
- ✓Based on operational necessity, TDY away from home base in support of other CAF units may require travel by military air.
- ✓The employee may be required to work other than normal duty hours, which may include evenings, weekends, and/or holidays and/or overtime.
- ✓Must meet physical requirements for immediate worldwide deployment, remote from adequate medical facilities, for extended TDY.
- ✓This position may require employee to work under adverse environmental conditions.
- ✓The physical requirements of this position, as determined by the manager, are: requires some physical exertion, such as long periods of standing; recurring actions such as bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities; or recurring lifting of light to medium heavy items, such as routers, switches, and servers.
- ✓This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program.
- ✓Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing.
- ✓Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
- ✓Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position.
- ✓A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
- ✓This position is emergency-essential.
