About the Position: This position serves as the IT Specialist (Network) within the Information Management Division (IMD) Naval Hospital Jacksonville (NHJAX) in Jacksonville, FL. Core hours for the position are 7:30 A.M. - 4:00 P.M. Typical office setting, the work is sedentary along with some walking and standing. This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Defense Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD.
What You'll Do
- →Execute procedures and coordinate corrective action to optimize network performance.
- →Implement plans and procedures for remote installation of applications and upgrades using state of the art software distribution methods.
- →Analyze equipment and software reliability and utilization reports to identify and define problem areas and to establish end-to-end systems performance levels.
- →Utilize benchmarks and performance measurement and evaluation data to manage network servers and data communication devices to support normal and surge workload.
- →Document and tracks changes to configuration, protocol and user/system files.
- →Use remote management software tools to maintain and update configuration, protocol and user/system files.
- →Evaluate the performance of network devices such as servers, workstations, and peripheral devices, and remote access systems.
- →Coordinate the development and implementation of configuration management plans for complex LANs and WANs.
