This position is part of the NNSA - Kansas City Field Office, Department of Energy. A successful candidate in this position will serve as Information Technology Specialist/Project Manager for the KCFO and oversees the unclassified and classified IT program for all computer hardware systems, software, and other information technology management operations at sites for which KCFO has cognizance.
What You'll Do
- →As a Information Technology Specialist, you will: Oversees, coordinates and reviews M&O contractor's budget submissions and execution, validating the allocations of manpower, equipment, and facilities.
- →Provides leadership, support, and/or technical advice in enterprise architecture to develop and implement new and emerging technologies and plans; and oversees the implementation of contractual requirements; and coordinates with specialists in other functional areas and/or organizations to resolve connectivity, compatibility, reliability, security and related issues.
- →Conducts comprehensive reviews and evaluations of information technology performance and ensuring compliance with laws, regulations, polices, and procedures.
- →Participates and leads meetings with local, National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA), and Department of Energy (DOE)-wide participants to discuss technically challenging issues, monitor status, evaluate completion, assess, document, accept, and reject work.
- →Notifies contractors of deficiencies and reviews remedies.
- →Provides technical and policy guidance, direction, and interpretation.
Requirements
