This position is located in Business Operations, Chief Information Office (CIO). CIO oversees the Forest Service's information technology and resources to support mission priorities. The role emphasizes strong customer service and proactive partnerships with stakeholders to deliver effective, value-driven IT solutions. What You'll Do
- →Leads and coordinates the planning, development, and implementation of IT systems, applications, and infrastructure solutions that support Forest Service mission needs.
- →Provides expert technical guidance on system design, configuration, testing, deployment, and troubleshooting, ensuring reliability, efficiency, and alignment with agency IT policies and standards.
- →Analyzes complex IT issues, evaluate alternatives, and recommend solutions across the full system life cycle, including integration with existing systems and emerging technologies.
- →Partners with internal customers, leadership, contractors, and external agencies to refine requirements, develop design specifications, and ensure effective implementation of IT capabilities.
- →Develops new methods, approaches, standards, and procedures for IT specialty areas; interpret and apply policies and guidelines where they are ambiguous or incomplete.
Requirements
- ✓Must be a U.S.
- ✓Citizen or National.
- ✓Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service or exempt.
- ✓Subject to satisfactory adjudication of background investigation and/or fingerprint check.
