About the Role
About the Position: Applicant will work a M-F 8 hour day shift in the Quality Support Services/Infection Control dept. Job consists of conducting chart reviews, data analysis, report generation, conducting infection control training and surveillance activities in assigned clinics/departments. Will need to be very well organized to ensure timely completion of reports and data submissions. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
What You'll Do
- →Develop and provide educational programs, training sessions, and consultations focused on safe healthcare practices for patients with blood-borne infectious diseases and biological warfare agents (such as Smallpox and Anthrax).
- →Foster awareness among healthcare professionals regarding infection prevention and control measures.
- →Conduct well-designed epidemiologic investigations to assess disease patterns and identify potential outbreaks.
- →Determine the existence of epidemics and promptly initiate appropriate control measures.
- →Ensure strict compliance with regulatory agencies, including but not limited to the National Healthcare Safety Network (NHSN) and The Joint Commission.
- →Regularly review and update infection control policies to align with current guidelines.
- →Implement infection control surveillance tracers across diverse clinical areas to monitor adherence to national and state standards.
- →Perform in-person infection control audits during surgical and dental procedures.
- →Report findings to section leadership and maintain electronic records for analysis and continuous improvement.
