You will serve as a Industrial Equipment Mechanic in the Public Works Department, Naval Station Newport, of Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command (NAVFAC) Mid-Atlantic.
What You'll Do
- →You will identify and perform alterations or modifications needed to improve the operation and efficiency of mechanical, hydraulic, and piping systems and components of machinery and equipment.
- →You will disassemble general industrial equipment, machinery, and mechanical systems (e.g., conveyor systems, bridge cranes, air compressors, emergency generators, engine and hydraulic dynamometers, aircraft test blocks) to make repairs.
- →You will perform checks, tests, and troubleshooting tasks to verify work operations and determine the need for repair of systems.
