You will serve as an INDUSTRIAL ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN in the CIP BRANCH (CODE 983), PRODUCTION ENGINEERING & FACILITIES DIVISION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD. ***TEMPORARY POSTION NOT TO EXCEED 1 YEAR AND MAY BECOME PERMANENT WITHOUT FURTHER COMPETITION. ***
What You'll Do
- →You will assist with the planning and completing industrial engineering projects You will assist in conducting studies of complex projects requiring independent adaptation of general history or background data and information.
- →You will assist in organizing and coordinating efforts with fellow industrial engineers to ensure objectives and requirements are met and safety is not compromised.
- →You will prepare correspondence, technical reports, estimates, fact sheets, and status reports as required to complete project assignments.
Requirements
- ✓Applicants must meet the following Basic Requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must possess In addition to meeting the basic entry qualification requirements, applicants must have specialized experience and/or directly related education in the amounts shown in the table below.
- ✓For the GS-09: 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or master's or equivalent graduate degree.
- ✓For the GS-07: 1 year of graduate-level education COMBINATION OF EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: (IF APPLICABLE) Equivalent combinations of education and experience may be combined to meet the total qualification requirements.
