About the Role

This position is located at Departmental Offices,Management CFO - DAS Human Resources and CHCO. As a/an Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for a full range of Department-wide policy, guidance, and oversight of Human Capital programs thought the Department's multiple bureaus.

What You'll Do

  • As a Human Resources Specialist, you will: Serve as a technical authority in establishing, maintaining, and monitoring effective staffing, placement, and recruitment programs, to include delegated examining, merit promotion, and special appointing authorities in both the competitive and excepted Federal service.
  • Provide technical support on position classification and position management.
  • Serve as a technical expert on reduction in force, workforce restructuring authorities, and priority placement programs such as the Re-employed Priority List Program, Career Transition Assistance Program, and the Interagency Career Transition Assistance program, etc.
  • Develop and maintain Treasury policy and other issuances, operating guidance, training materials, marketing strategy, etc., in connection with assigned program areas and/or projects.
  • Serve as Treasury representative on intergovernmental policy workgroups, represents the department in meetings with officials from the Office of Personnel Management (OPM), Office of Management and Budget (OMB), etc. and speaks authoritatively on Treasury's position.

  • Additional guidance and support will be provided during onboarding.
  • Must successfully complete a background investigation.
  • Public Trust - Background Investigation will be required.
  • All new hires will be required to comply with federal ethics laws.
  • A review of financial or other interests may be conducted to determine if they create any real or apparent conflict of interests with official Treasury duties.
  • Complete a Declaration for Federal Employment to determine your suitability for Federal employment, at the time requested by the agency.
