About the Role

Organizational Location: This position is with the Department of Homeland Security, within U.S. Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management (HRM), CBP Hiring Center, located in Bloomington, MN.

What You'll Do

  • Joining the Customs and Border Protection, Office of Human Resources Management, Talent Management Directorate will allow you to use your expertise to assist as a subject matter expert in a variety of assignments involving staffing, pay, and processing rules, laws, and regulations for CBP.
  • This position starts at a salary of $55,012.00 (GS-07, Step 1) to $87,482.00 (GS-09, Step 10) with promotion potential to $126,859 (GS-12 Step 10).
  • In this position you will provide evaluative and analytical support to the recruitment and placement process.
  • Major duties may include but are not limited to: Making recommendations on a wide range of staffing authorities and special employment programs in order to meet the agencies staffing goals.
  • Applying qualification standards and ranking methods to evaluate applicants experience, training and education.
  • Utilizing various HR information systems/tools to complete and track workload.
  • Identifying, evaluating, and recommending to management appropriate human resources interventions to resolve complex interrelated human resources problems and issues.
