Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below to view Eligibilities being considered and other IMPORTANT information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as an Air Force civilian senior Human Resources (HR) Specialist and functional systems analyst.
What You'll Do
- →Reviews and evaluates current civilian personnel processes and programs for successful and effective reengineering potential; determines suitable approach for effective reengineering and develops feasible reengineering modification recommendations.
- →Develops strategic transformation initiatives for the development, enhancement, maintenance, and future development of HR information systems for the HR community.
- →Represents AFPC and Air Force with a variety of organizations and external agencies.
- →Serves as the senior HR subject-matter expert working with business process owners who participate in the development and integration of civilian human resource information systems, management business processes, and other HR initiatives.
- →Develops, coordinates and implements short, mid and long-term strategic transformation vision for Air Force Personnel Services Delivery to transform personnel service from face-to-face transactions to web applications and/ or transition from base level operations to a centralized operation.

- ✓********************ADDITIONAL INFORMATION FOR ACTIVE DUTY SERVICES MEMBERS******************** ACTIVE DUTY SERVICE MEMBERS: The VOW Act requires federal agencies to treat an eligible active duty service member as a veteran, disabled veteran, and preference eligible (as applicable) when applying for civil service positions before the effective release or discharge date.
- ✓Appointment of military members before the release or discharge date is permissible if the member is on terminal leave.
- ✓At the time the active duty member applies for a civil position, he or she must submit a "certification" memo in lieu of a DD-Form 214, Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty.
- ✓Active duty members applying for a civil service position without submitting a valid certification memo or DD-Form 214 with their application will render the member ineligible for the position.
- ✓Note: The VOW Act provides tentative preference.
- ✓If appointed, a DD Form-214 must be submitted upon receipt
