OIG is organized into six operational units: the Immediate Office of the Inspector General, Office of the Counselor, Office of Audits and Evaluations, Office of Healthcare Inspections, Office of Investigations, and Office of Management and Administration. In addition to the Washington, DC, headquarters, OIG has offices located in more than 60 locations throughout the country.
What You'll Do
- →Duty locations are limited to the following for this position: Austin, TX; Bay Pines, FL; Durham, NC; Hines, IL; Kansas City, MO; Portland, OR; Spokane, WA; Trenton, NJ or Washington, DC.
- →Current OIG Employees will remain at their current duty location.
- →As a Human Resources Specialist (Employee Relations), you will: Provide day-to-day assistance, interpretation, information and guidance on employee relations problems and issues which affect the function to include organizational goal performance, individual performance, performance appraisal systems, and ER training programs.
- →Develop policies and procedures related to all forms of communication and counseling necessary for effective employee relations, performance management, and reasonable accommodations programs.
- →Evaluate and analyze current practices within the OIG against industry best practices in the private sector and across government.
- →Advise on reasonable accommodations, employee assistance programs, leave administration, health and wellness, performance management, workplace harassment/violence and standards of ethical conduct.
- →Create communications, training materials and instructional tools for the above policies and programs.
Requirements
- ✓The experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service.
- ✓One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
