What You'll Do
- →You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military) and be responsible for serving as the main point of contact for customer service inquiries and first-level problem resolution of batch issues within the Coast Guard's instance of the U.S.
- →Army's Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).
- →Ensuring the accuracy and accountability of all USCG active duty, reserve, and retired OMPF records.

- →Typical work assignments include: Maintain, update, and safeguard vital military personnel records for all U.S.
- →Coast Guard Active Duty, Reserve, and Retired members within the Coast Guard Military Human Resource Record (CGMHRR) Section, Capabilities Branch, at the Coast Guard Personnel Service Center (CGPSC) in Washington, DC.
- →Ensure the accuracy and accountability of records in both the CGMHRR and the Official Military Personnel File (OMPF).
- →Accurately enter, verify, and process personnel data using the Interactive Personnel Electronic Records Management System (iPERMS).
- →Regularly audit the work of other staff members to ensure data integrity, compliance, and consistency across all records.
- →Provide feedback and guidance to uphold high standards.
- →Serve as the main point of contact for customer service inquiries and first-level problem resolution of batch issues within iPERMS.
- →Deliver prompt and professional support to Coast Guard personnel regarding military HR records.
- →Communicate complex information clearly, resolve issues efficiently, and assist with a wide range of military HR functions, adapting to changing needs. discretion.
- →Ensure all actions comply with COMDTINST M1080.10 series and all other applicable Coast Guard and federal regulations controlling military personnel records.
