About the Role
About the Position: The Military Entrance Processing Station plays a vital role in maintaining the nation's military might by ensuring that each new member of the Armed Forces: Army, Marines, Navy, Air Force, Space Force, and Coast Guard; meets the high mental, moral & medical standards required by the DoD & the military services. Every MEPS represents state of the art in testing, examining & processing applicants for enlistment into the Armed Forces. This is a permanent position.
What You'll Do
- →Provide assistance to visitors by directing them to appropriate points of contacts within assigned processing center.
- →Administer pre-oath briefings to inform applicants regarding processing center procedures.
- →Answer and/or forward telephone calls to appropriate personnel.
- →Maintain office security by controlling access (i.e. issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, etc.) via the reception desk.
- →Operate a variety of office automation equipment to prepare enlistment and other military personnel documents.
- →Perform records management of electronic and paper applicant records.
- →Perform quality review of military applicant records, packets, and forms to ensure compliance with all requirements.
- →Obtain military applicants’ fingerprints to initiate a background investigation.
- →Prepare recruitment and other military personnel documents for individuals enlisting or reenlisting into military service.
