What You'll Do
- →This Human Resources Assistant provides technical assistance and processing support to a team of human resources specialists and assistants who provide recruitment and placement, classification, employee relations, employee benefits, personnel action processing and other HR services for one or more assigned organizations.
- →If selected for this position, you will join a well-respected team that is responsible for providing Human Resources Assistant support in the U.S.
- →Attorney's Office, District of Columbia, located in Washington, District of Columbia, focusing in the areas of staffing, classification, personnel processing and office automation.
- →Typical work assignments will include: Performing human resources assistance duties in staffing, classification, quality control and personnel actions.
- →Utilizing knowledge of the Empower HR (HER) system to process the spectrum of personnel actions for teams to include those of unusual, unprecedented, or difficult nature such as assignments or details to state governments, foreign countries, or international organizations; and special appointments such as various student employment programs.
- →Producing a variety of written documents utilizing varied and advanced functions in each of several types of office automation software, i.e., word processing, database management or spreadsheet.
Requirements
