About the Role
About the position: This position is Non-appropriated Fund (NAF) and will be assigned to the NAF Human Resources Office on Holloman AFB, NM. The work schedule is Monday - Friday from 0730-1600, with a very rare, occasional need for an evening or weekend for hiring events. This position is Regular Full Time and will be entitled to Annual and Sick Leave Accrual, Health/Dental Insurance, Life Insurance, 401(k), NAF Retirement and More!
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of this position is to provide HR advisory services and support, relating to NAF employment, to the 49th Force Support Squadron.
- →This is a Developmental position.
- →Incumbents will learn the duties below and be expected to perform the duties within the allotted timeframe.
- →When the incumbent meets all training requirements, they will be non-competitively promoted to the target NF-03 level.
- →The duties of this position include, but are not limited to: HR Advisory: Serves as a reliable source of information on procedural and regulatory requirements pertaining to HR personnel matters.
- →Provides guidance and informational resources to supervisors and employees.
- →Explains employee rights and responsibilities.
- →R&P: Receives and reviews personnel action requests and supporting documents for validity and completion.
- →Conducts strategic recruitment discussions to advise on recruitment strategies.
- →Advises on permanent and/or temporary placement actions.
- →Explains hiring preferences and priority considerations in the recruitment process to management and/or applicant.
- →Formulates position qualifications for job announcement postings.
- →Creates and releases job opportunity announcements.
- →Generates applicant lists for the issuing of hiring certificate(s).
