The position is at the full performance level located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Greater Los Angeles VA Medical Center (VAMC) in the CERS: HUD-VASH program. This is an Open Continuous Announcement. Applications will be reviewed and referred at regular intervals as vacancies occur.
What You'll Do
- →The primary purpose of the Housing Management Assistant is to link Veterans in the HUD VASH program to permanent housing.
- →The Housing Management Assistant will establish and maintain relationships with landlords, private agencies, non-profit agencies, and governmental agencies who serve the homeless, as well as VA staff who work with Veterans in need of transitional or permanent housing.
- →Assist Veterans with the housing search and lease up process by acting as a liaison between all parties, including but not limited to the VA, PHA, landlord, and Veteran, to address housing needs.
- →Use of Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) is required for transportation of Veterans as needed to assist with housing leads and applications for housing.
- →Work Schedule: Full-time, Monday-Friday, 8:00 am-4:30 pm Virtual: This is not a virtual position.
