About the Role
The Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program (H/HHA) program Coordinator is a position located at the Central Alabama Veterans Healthcare System(CAVHCS). The incumbent is delegated the responsibility for the planning and coordination of all elements which constitute the H/HHA program.

- →VA Careers - Social Work: https://youtube.com/embed/enRhz_ua_UU Total Rewards of a Allied Health Professional This requires a high and varied level of professional expertise and collaboration to develop, revise and/or apply policies and standards which determine the scope of the Homemaker/ Home Health Aide and the duties of the program staff.
- →Major Duties include but not limited to: Responsible for the timely payment to vendor/ contacted agencies.
- →Oversee the use of respite services to veterans Responsible for implementing contract(s) for the H/HHA program.
- →Responsible for independently assuring that Central Office Geriatrics and Extended Care program standards and policies are adhered to in a timely and effective manner.
- →Administratively responsible for assuring that the Homemaker/Home Health Aide Program functions according to VHA Handbook 1140.6.
- →Practicing at the advanced level and has specialized knowledge of practice typically related to the population served within the H/HHA programs.
- →Coordinating the work responsibilities of clinical and support staff assigned to the program.
- →Ensure that the employees understand and adhere to the program directives, policies and standards as well as VAMC employee requirements.
- →Responsible for assisting with establishing and maintaining the yearly H/HHA budget, as well as assisting in balancing the fund control point.
- →Other duties as assigned.
- →Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:30pm.
- →Work schedule subject to change based on agency needs.
- →Pay: Competitive salary and regular salary increases.
- →Paid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year) Selected applicants may qualify for credit toward annual leave accrual, based on prior [work experience] or military service experience.
