Click on "Learn more about this agency" button below for IMPORTANT additional information. The primary purpose of this position is to serve as the Deputy Director for the 16 AF History Office. Shares fully in the management and oversight of the office, acting with the full authority of the Director in their absence. Contributes to the development of operational plans and policies for History and Heritage programs for the C-NAF and subordinate unit historians.
What You'll Do
- →Operational Management & Oral History Program.
- →Serves as the Deputy Director, sharing fully with the Director in planning, organizing, and directing the daily operational activities of the History Office (HO).
- →IC Liaison & Strategic Research.
- →Represents the 16th Air Force and the Enterprise History Office at professional conferences, meetings, and with a variety of installation and functional area organizations.
- →Enterprise Policy Formulation & Subordinate Unit Oversight.
- →Interprets HQ USAF History, Heritage, and Museum Program policy.
- →TS/SCI Archive & Resource Administration.
- →Manages resources, information, and digital content.
- →Controls uses of resources for the oral history program, supervising the transcription and editing of oral histories and preparing related distribution lists.

- ✓ADDITIONAL INFORMATION: This position is a Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel Systems (DCIPS) position implemented under Section 504, Title V of Public Law 99-569, Intelligence Authorization Act for Fiscal Year 1987, as codified in Sec 1601, Chap 83 of Title 10 United States Code which sets forth Air Force policies and procedures for DCIPS.
